Phil Powrie is editor of Contemporary French Cinema: Continuity and Difference (1999) and author of Jean-Jaques Beineix (2001). Ann Davies is author of Don Juan and Changing Gender Relations (2002). Bruce Babington is editor of British Stars and Stardom: From Alma Taylor to Sean Connery (2002) and author of Launder and Gilliat (2002). All the editors teach at the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK.
