About the Author:
Anna Szalai, a literary historian and editor, received her Ph.D. in Hungarian literature from Eötvös Lóránd University in Budapest. She has been living in Israel since late 1991. From 1992-2005, she was a fellow at the Rosenfeld Project at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem’s Institute of Jewish Studies; she has taught Hungarian language, held literature seminars and led translation seminars within the Hungarian Studies program (1996-2005).
