Book Presentation:

It's impossible to forget the smiling Yves Montand, balancing a tray in his hands and rushing to serve customers in a pub, in the film Garçon! And what about mat grocery store Amélie Poulain passed by every morning, where a certain Jamel Debbouze worked? As for the fried green tomatoes, the glory of Idgie and Ruth 's Whistle Stop café in Alabama, they are unforgettable. Just like the shop where Woody Allen made cookies while scheming to hold up the bank next door. Pubs, groceries, boutiques, hotels, restaurants, fast-food joints, casinos and department stores now belong to our collective memory thanks to the cinema. Jean-Pierre Busca and Guy Jacquemelle have selected over one hundred and fifty films to illustrate mis theme. They offer an insight into seventy six years of Commerce through the Seventh Art, from Julien Duvivier ("Au bonheur des dames ", 1930) to Richard Linklater ("Fast Food Nation", 2006).
