Book Presentation:
The expression “action camera,” or “action cam,” often associated with the GoPro brand, is unique in that it does not necessarily refer to a particular technical feature of the camera. Rather, it points to the context in which this kind of device is used. In this digital book, we turn our attention to these particular use cases in order to propose a broader definition of the term “action cam,” used here to describe any device serving to document the activity of the person using it, in keeping with the concept of mobilography. Following an overview of its technical features, each section of the parcours takes up a practice which reveals different aspects of the action cam.
