There are 4,296 features in this comprehensive filmography, including 61 documentaries of feature length and 44 of what were called “race movies,” i.e., those with an all-black cast. For each: title, studio, year of production and release, cast and credits, production personnel, and a brief plot synopsis. Where applicable: Academy Award winners and nominees, other awards, and for performers, film debuts and final screen appearances. Alternate titles are cross-referenced.
