Christine Vachon (New York, NY) is the founder and president of her company, Killer Films, and is one of the leading independent producers in the film industry. She has produced over 30 feature films, including Boys Don't Cry, Far from Heaven, Infamous, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Swoon, The Notorious Bettie Page, and One-Hour Photo. She has received numerous awards, including Independent Spirit Awards and the producer award from the National Board of Review. Her first book, 1998's Shooting to Kill: How an Independent Producer Blasts Through the Barriers to Make Movies That Matter (0380798549'), 'was a Los Angeles Times best-seller.Austin Bunn has written for The New York Times Magazine, Wired, The Advocate, and other magazines.
